There is a pandemic scare all over the world and my country is no exception to that. I thought this is my social obligation to speak in common language for all of my FB friends. What is corona virus and what is the reality? To say you frankly There is no scope of any vaccine within next six months at least. We are still understanding the basics before having anything fruitful solution in hand. Vaccine can be preventive or preventive & prophylactic. In general there is no medicine for any virus. Virus completes its life cycle inside host. So host needs to give time. Here host is human. Virus is a kind of parasite. Parasite generally doesn’t kill host. When virus attacks, you need rest and lots of fluids. Virus is always host and tissue specific. Here is a virus that is most probably jumped species barriers. According to available data we human are not it’s primary hosts. So, before staying permanently it is testing its new host. COVID19 attacks lung mainly. This is just like cold or influenzas. There is no fatality from age-group 0 to 17 years. Only older people are vulnerable. In China most people including older are heavy smoker. So as in Italy. That’s why they are more vulnerable. Also people who are regular steroid users also vulnerable. Like chronic asthma or COPD patients since steroids downed the immune system. Our immunity is our main strength. Immunity deteriorates with age, with chronic disease. With age we have many late onset diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cardiac diseases, etc. In these conditions we are used to be under regular medications. So, these people are generally vulnerable not only from COVID19 attack but also from secondary consequences. So we need to boost our immunity and for that do regular exercise and take lots of fruits. Usually citrus fruits (oranges, moshambies, Pomelo commonly known as batabi lebu, etc are very good) give good preventative protection. Also, try to avoid stress that activates your inflammatory cytokines that are detrimental to your immunity. All of these will boost your immune system. So that you can resist the infection. Actually from media we are getting the numbers of infected people. Only the people who are ill and going to doctors for help after showing symptoms. There are lots of people other than these numbers who are not showing any symptoms. They are perfectly coping up with the COVID19 attacks. So take precautions but do not unnecessarily panicked. Regarding masks I can vouch that only patients and the people who are somewhat exposed to COVID19 should use masks. These masks are easily penetrate by any viruses. These masks are only not allowing your sputum to come out easily. There are many claims and disclaims regarding treatment in India. As I said earlier mostly there is no drugs or small chemical molecules against viruses. Now many places doctors are using combinations of many known drugs. But, my point is that you need to show before treatment and after treatment viral load. And that too you need to show before the completion of viral cycle. Without that kind of valid data nobody should claim cure. Otherwise they are media gimmick. We need to understand that anti malarial molecules work in different pathways than Tamiflu. Moreover combining many chemical molecules can often serious side effects. May be antibiotics for secondary bacterial pneumonia infection after COVID19 attack. So, nothing to panic. Think and do logical. Think for others. Do exercise. Eat healthy and drink lots of fluids. Enjoy life.

If you find logic and like my posting then please share for benefit of others.
